Pro Tips:
Always follow the order of operations. Greet the guest, ask if they are dining in or carrying out, and then ask for a name and hit no app if they are not scanning a Chick-fil-A app.
Remember that you are the face of our team since you are most visible to guests. Demonstrate great core 4 and second mile service!
If there are no dining room hosts then it is your responsibility to make sure the dining room is clean in between orders. Perform bathroom checks and a general sweep of the dining room to ensure cleanliness.
If the dining room needs a lot of attention, ask for assistance from the front of house leader.
If there is a dining room host, then you should be staying behind the counter in order to be available for guests.Â
Behind the counter you can stock the employee drinks station, make kids meal bags, clean and line trays, brew coffee, and make sure the front counter is clean and free from mess.
Avoid hitting tender before the order is done. If this happens the unfinished order pops up on the bagger screen and will be displayed untendered until you take payment, potentially confusing baggers and kitchen.
In the morning it is typically the responsibility of the dining room order taker to brew coffee. It is important that a new pot gets brewed immediately so that we do not unexpectedly run out.
If you are unable to brew coffee right away because of order taking, ask for help from the booster or front of house leader.
Follow the coffee pot play: Move the oldest brewed coffee pot from right to left, and brew the new pot in the right spot.
The front of house leader or booster may ask you to perform checklist tasks in the morning or afternoon. These usually involve cleaning and restocking. Communicate with that leader about the tasks you have completed so they can be checked off.
